Today and COMSEE AI
Tasks
Updated October 29, 2026
How to read the task list (due-date groups, how many were done today, completing and undoing, and the details on the right), create tasks, use the board and table, and read task analytics.
What tasks are for
A task is one piece of work created from a case's per-phase template, a COMSEE AI proposal, a watched event, or by hand. On the Tasks screen, you work through what is due soonest.
- "Assignee" in the toolbar switches between your tasks (default) and your team's tasks.
- "View" switches between List (default) and Board. A table is also available.
- "Search tasks and cases" narrows by name. Filters (status, assignee, priority, label, due date) and saved views work in every view.
The top story
It picks one task to finish first. The headline reads "'…' is n days overdue" or "'…' is due today". The lead gives the case's sale period, and the figures show the due date, the case's phase and how many of the case's tasks remain. "Open task" and "Open case" take you there.
"Also check" on the right lists other overdue tasks (naming the case if many belong to one), tasks due today, tasks due within 7 days, and COMSEE AI proposals waiting for approval.
Due-date groups and what was done today
The list is split into Overdue, Today, Tomorrow, Within 7 days and Later. Within a group, tasks are ordered by due date, then priority, then creation. Tasks without a due date are shown only as a count.
- "Add to ..." in the Today and Tomorrow groups creates a task due that day.
- The Overdue and Today group headings show a "Done today" ring on the right: how many you completed today out of the group. Completing a task adds one right away.
- When the earlier groups have many tasks, "Later" is folded.
Complete and undo
Select the circle at the left of a row: it fills, the row folds, and a notice with "Undo" appears. You can undo within 5 seconds.
- Completing a task with open subtasks asks you to confirm. The subtasks do not change.
- Completing a repeating task creates the next one.
- For tasks created from a watched event, "Don't create this kind" under "…" stops that kind (see "What COMSEE AI watches" in Organization settings).
Details on the right
Select a row to open its details on the right.
- Edit the title, description, status, assignee, due date, priority, labels, repeat, subtasks and dependencies (tasks blocking or blocked by it) in place.
- "Why this task exists" shows whether it came from a template, a COMSEE AI proposal, a watched event or a person.
- Case tasks show the amount at stake and what is awaiting approval on that case.
- "History" lists its creation and status changes.
Create a task
"Create task" in the toolbar or the C key opens the create dialog. Enter the title, case, assignee, due date, priority and so on. You can also create a case's tasks from the "Tasks" tab of the case.
Board and table
- Board: cards in columns by status (To do, In progress, In review, Done). Moving a card changes its status. Done shows the last 14 days.
- Table: sort rows and change grouping and columns. Select rows to change status, assignee, due date and so on in bulk.
Task analytics
"Analytics" at the top right opens task analytics. It counts everyone's tasks in the organization.
- The top story shows how many open tasks are overdue and how many are 21 days or more past due. Its chart, "Open tasks by days past due", stacks one square per task in columns for not yet due, 1–6, 7–13, 14–20 and 21+ days. Hover a square to see the task and its due date. "View overdue tasks" opens the list.
- On the right are open tasks per assignee.
- Below are "Open tasks by case" and "Open and overdue over time", followed by created and completed over time, due dates of open tasks, and days to complete.
