Sourcing (cases with suppliers)
Updated October 4, 2026
How to apply to trial-sale offers published by suppliers, propose terms, accept or decline, what the case created on agreement contains, how promise fulfilment and ratings work, and how to read COMSEE AI's sourcing proposals.
What Sourcing does
"Sourcing" in the left menu shows trial-sale offers for new products published by suppliers (makers, producers and so on) who use COMSEE.
- Apply to an offer, exchange terms, and the deal closes when one side accepts.
- When it closes, a case is created in your organization automatically. You do not need to enter the case or partner again.
- Applying, proposing terms, accepting and declining are always done by a person. COMSEE AI only proposes candidates.
Which offers appear
"Open offers" lists these offers until their application deadline:
- Everyone: offers that every reviewed operator can see.
- Named: offers where the supplier picked your organization.
Suppliers choose the visibility from "Named operators only", "Operators you've traded with" and "Everyone".
Each row shows the product photo, product name, category, the supplier's company name, the terms (quantity, wholesale price, deal type and fee, sales period), the application deadline and the preferred ways to sell (LIVE, video). Filter by "Category" in the toolbar.
- Company names are as registered by each company. COMSEE has not verified them.
- Organizations under review and sample organizations do not see offers open to everyone.
Apply
- Select "Apply" on an offer open to everyone.
- Confirm "Apply on the offer's terms?" and apply.
- When the supplier accepts, the deal closes and a case is created. To change the terms, you can propose terms after applying.
Answer a named offer by accepting, proposing terms or declining.
Propose terms, accept, decline
An exchange moves by you answering the terms the other side proposed last.
- Your turn (the other side proposed last): you can select "Accept", "Propose terms" or "Decline".
- Their turn: "Waiting for the other party" is shown. Only declining is available.
- Reply deadline: 7 days after it becomes the other side's turn. After that the exchange expires and ends.
- Declining: either side can decline. A declined exchange cannot be reopened.
The terms are: deal type (agency, consignment, purchase), wholesale price (per unit), units per order, quantity, preferred price, fee rate (for agency), who pays shipping, box size, temperature, and sales period.
Term options: when you propose terms, up to 2 options are shown, made by fixed rules from your terms and the terms the other side proposed: split shipping in two, lower the quantity and keep the fee, or extend the sales period by 14 days, whichever apply. Selecting one fills the fields, and you edit before proposing. The other side's costs and profit are never used.
When the deal closes
When a deal closes, your organization gets:
- A case (in the Prep phase). The agreed terms are set as the case's adopted terms.
- A partner. If no partner is linked to that supplier, a new one is created. It is never linked to a different partner with the same name.
- Tasks from the trial-sale template
"Open deal" on a closed row under "Exchanges" takes you to the created case. Streams and settlement then work as for any case.
Promises, fulfilment and ratings
After a deal closes, each side enters its own promise once. The operator promises streams (how many by a due date); the supplier promises shipping.
- When done, record it with "Record one live". Records cannot be undone.
- A promise is kept if it reaches its count by the due date, late if it reaches it after the due date, and missed if the due date passes without reaching it. The fulfilment rate is kept promises ÷ settled promises.
- Within 14 days of closing, you can rate the deal once from 1 to 5 with a short comment. The other side never sees the comment, only the average and the count.
- The fulfilment rate and the average rating each appear on Sourcing and exchange rows once there are 3 or more.
COMSEE AI's sourcing proposals
For organizations connected to TikTok Shop (excluding sample organizations), the nightly job places open offers that fit your shop in the inbox as "Sourcing" proposals.
- The reasons are facts only: how your shop sells (LIVE, video) against the offer's preferred ways to sell, the median price of your sold products against the preferred price, scheduled streams without a case during the sales period, profitability (orders needed to break even at the offer's wholesale price and the low end of the preferred price), and the product category.
- Only offers with 2 or more reasons are placed. Offers that lose money on a single order are not.
- Up to 3 a night, and each offer only once. One also appears at the end of "So, next" on Today.
- Approving applies on the offer's terms for an offer open to everyone, or accepts on the offer's terms for a named offer. The offer is read again just before running, and nothing runs if the terms have changed.
Your TikTok Shop performance is never shown to suppliers. Suppliers see your organization's name, the terms you applied or proposed, and your fulfilment rate and average rating (as rates and counts).
Invite a current supplier
"Invite as supplier" at the top of a partner's page invites a current supplier to COMSEE as a supplier. Only owners can do this.
- Enter one email address. COMSEE does not send any email.
- When the person signs up or signs in to COMSEE with that address, they can accept. The supplier organization becomes usable once COMSEE has checked it.
- With an invited partner, you can exchange on named offers and on offers for operators they've traded with.
