Partners

What partners are for

Partners are the producers, wholesalers and brands you source products from. For each partner you can see the trade terms and negotiation notes, the projected profit of its cases and the wholesale price trend in one place. Use it to decide whether to keep working with a partner and whether to negotiate the wholesale price on the next case.

Add a partner

1. On the partner list, select "Add partner".
2. Enter the name and, if needed, the type (producer, wholesaler, brand), region and note. The name alone is enough.
3. You can also search for a partner by name when creating a case and add it on the spot if it doesn't exist yet.

Record terms

On the partner page, use "Change terms" to edit trade terms, quality, logistics and lead time one item at a time.

• Each change is kept in "Change history" as a numbered set of terms, and the previous value is struck through. Earlier values are never lost.
• Record calls, visits and emails in the field above "Change history" by choosing a type (terms, price, quality, logistics, other). Notes appear on the row of the terms in effect at the time.
• The wholesale price is decided in the case's terms comparison. The partner page shows the latest wholesale price from the case products as "Current wholesale price (per order)". It is the amount per order. The "Wholesale (per unit)" in a terms option is that amount divided by the number of units in one order.

Shipping and payment, ships from

• Fulfillment: choose whether the supplier ships directly or you ship from your own warehouse. When you ship from your warehouse, shipping is your cost.
• Payment formula: choose "Wholesale × quantity" or "Sales − fee". For consignment contracts where you pay sales minus a fee, choose "Sales − fee" and enter the fee rate.
• Ships from: enter the ship-from prefecture to calculate shipping for its cases with that origin's rate table. If it's empty, shipping is calculated from Kanto.

Read projected profit by case

"Projected profit by case" on the partner page lists each of the partner's cases on one row.

• The hollow dot is the profit when half sells, the solid dot when the planned quantity sells out. The vertical line is ¥0; right of it is profit.
• The line above tells you how many cases are profitable if sold out, and how many are profitable at half sold.
• Select a row to open the case.
• It is calculated from each case's prices, wholesale prices, planned quantities and projected costs. These are not actual results. Declined cases and cases without products are not counted.

COMSEE AI's wholesale price suggestion

Among cases in Inquiry, Go / no-go or Terms that lose money at half sold, COMSEE AI takes the one with the largest loss and shows the wholesale price at which it would turn a profit at half sold. This is the same calculation as "Wholesale to profit at half sold (per unit)" in the case's terms comparison.

1. Select "Create terms option at this price". The case page opens with a new terms option.
2. The wholesale price is filled in, divided by the items per order. Other terms are copied from the current option.
3. Check the values and select "Add option". Nothing is saved until you add it.

Cases with more than one product get no suggestion. If even a wholesale price of ¥0 doesn't make the case profitable, COMSEE AI tells you the price or costs need to change.

The partner list

• Use the filters on the left to choose a type (producer, wholesaler, brand) and status (active, no cases yet).
• The cards at the top show active partners, their expected sales and expected gross profit with the margin, and partners whose wholesale price went down. Expected sales and gross profit count only the cases of active partners.
• Partners with an accepted case (a case that reached Terms or later) are in the table; the rest are under "Partners without cases yet", where "Enter terms" lets you fill in their terms.
• "Export CSV" downloads the filtered list.
