Monthly summary and the definition of impact
Updated October 1, 2026
How COMSEE counts the money actually moved (impact) after a proposal from COMSEE AI is approved and executed, and how to read the monthly summary screen.
Definition of impact
The result observed some time after a proposal from COMSEE AI is approved and executed. It is counted separately from the estimate made at the time of approval.
- Purchase orders (restocking proposals): the number actually sold within 14 days of the goods arriving, minus the number already on hand when the order was placed, multiplied by the selling price. Without the order, that extra amount would not have sold. Unsold units are not subtracted (subtracting them would change what this number means).
- Sending a purchase order: the ordered amount is shown separately as "cost moved" and is not added to the total impact.
- Other actions (stock allocation, changing a case or its terms, etc.): not counted in yen. Instead, the minutes saved are counted once the action has succeeded.
- Undone actions: a proposal that was approved and later undone is counted as "could not be measured" and contributes no amount. If it is undone after the month was settled, the amount is reversed the same way.
- Proposals still within their observation period are shown separately as "observing" (an estimate) and are not added to the confirmed amount.
- Proposals that could not be observed (the shop's data stopped syncing, the order never arrived, etc.) are counted as "could not be measured".
The monthly summary screen
- Switching months shows the impact confirmed, impact observing, cost moved, time saved, and count that could not be measured for actions completed that month.
- The breakdown table by type shows the approval rate, the share that was edited before approval, the hit rate (the share that reached at least the low end of the estimate), and the share executed automatically.
- The trend chart for the last 6 months shows the confirmed amount and the observing amount separately.
When no proposal has been approved yet this month, the screen shows an empty state instead of a made-up number.
